Electrical performance
Certified performance in a 2-connector configuration up to 100 meters and exceeds ISO 11801 2nd Edition Class E and ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 6 standards at swept frequencies up to 250 MHz
Specifications:
Category 6 cable exceeds ISO 11801 (Class E), IEC 61156-5 and ANSI/ TIA-568-C.2 Category 6 standards. The conductors are 23 AWG construction with HDPE insulation. The copper conductors are twisted in pairs, with all four pairs separated by a cross-divider and covered by a PVC jacket.
Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat 6, is a standardized twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network physical layers that is backward compatible with the Category 5/5e and Category 3 cable standards. Compared with Cat 5 and Cat 5e, Cat 6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard specifies performance of up to 250 MHz.
